Sabrina Peterson
LPC-MHSP
My journey toward becoming a counselor began early. I was just five years old when I asked my father—a psychiatrist—if his job was fun. He replied, “I have the best job in the world because I help people feel happier in their own skin every day.” That moment shaped the path I would eventually follow. While life took me on a few detours, I never let go of the dream to help others create meaningful change in their lives.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Texas State University and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from St. Edward’s University. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I’ve provided therapy in a range of clinical settings, including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, correctional facilities, and private practice.
I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, phobias, addiction, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, and psychosis. My approach is client-centered and integrative, combining CBT, DBT, and mindfulness techniques. Together, we’ll work to identify and reframe unhelpful patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen your internal coping toolbox.
Above all, I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space—where your story is honored, and your healing is the priority.

Rhett Reynolds
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
With so many choices, the process can feel overwhelming. In my experience—both as a therapist and as someone who’s sat on the other side of the room—the most meaningful part of therapy is the relationship itself. Trust, safety, and genuine connection are the foundation for healing.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers or to specialize in every issue. What I do bring is openness, deep compassion, and a sincere commitment to walking alongside people as they navigate their pain, questions, and growth. My approach is grounded in creating a nonjudgmental, welcoming space—one where you can feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself.
If you’re curious about whether we might be a good match, you’re welcome to reach out for a brief phone consultation. There’s no charge for that conversation.
Some of the areas I’m especially passionate about include:
- Low self-worth and self-esteem
- Anxiety, depression, and fear
- Alcohol and substance use
- Guilt, shame, and self-judgment
- Spirituality and personal identity
- Childhood trauma
- Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse
- Interpersonal and relationship challenges
I understand how daunting it can be to take the first step. I still remember how nervous and unsure I felt when I first reached out for help. What made the difference for me was finding a therapist who made me feel safe and truly seen. That’s the kind of presence I aim to offer every client. I also take medicare.

Pathways Therapy can help you
“I Don’t Want To Dig Up The Past”
Many people worry that therapy will force them to relive painful experiences or open old wounds. While therapy can involve exploring the past, the focus is on understanding how it impacts your present and empowering you to move forward, not stay stuck in pain.
